ABTR Graphics by Lili Chin

Huge thanks to our wonderful friend and rescue supporter, Lili Chin!

Lili has created some amazing new graphics, including an updated ABTR logo, Have a Heart logo, ABTR Supporter graphic, ABTR Patriot graphics and more!  These fresh new graphics pack a punch, and they're all available on a huge variety of items at the ABTR CafePress shop - http://cafepress.com/abtr.

Thank you, Lili, for lending your talent to our cause.  We are so appreciative!

Doggie Drawings by Lili Chin

Take a look at the pages and pages of beautiful graphics by Lili - you'll surely want to immortalize YOUR special friend(s) with a Lili original!  (Incidentally, Lili also created ABTR's new logo.  Check it out at the top of the page!)

Lili has generously offered to donate 25% of each order placed by an ABTR Friend (or supporter of ABTR, or family member of ABTR, or neighbor, coworker, whatever) to our cause.  Just be sure to let her know that you support American BT Rescue!

Here's the lowdown, straight from Lili's blog:

What you will receive:
  • A 8.5 x 11” print on Epson Enhanced Matte paper sent by USPS First Class mail
  • A link to a downloadable digital image (high resolution PDF format) of your fur baby from which you can make as many extra copies as you wish.

I will email you a preview of the illustration before I complete it so that if you absolutely hate it or need to have certain things changed, this is a good time to let me know. :)

Depending on how busy I am (because I do other work during the day) the finished drawing could take any time from 1 day to 2 weeks.

THE COST?

$50 for a drawing with 1 dog
$75
for a drawing with 2 dogs
$100 a drawing with 3 dogs
etc.

These prices include shipping to anywhere in the world.

If you would like to commission a drawing of your dog(s), please send me a message with a short description of their personalities and a link to photos if they are in an online gallery (eg, Flickr, photobucket, etc) Or you could email your favorite photos to me. I prefer photos that include different angles and a full body pose (undressed! :)) so that I can see their unique body markings clearly. Or if I could meet your dogs… that would be the best!

My email address is lili (dot) chin (at) gmail (dot-com)

We hope you'll all consider participating in this ongoing fundraiser.  Just think how proud you'll be to display a genuine work of art featuring your furbaby!  And what an AMAZING gift idea for Mother's Day, Father's Day, a birthday, Christmas, or any other special occasion!  It's an affordable, personal and incredibly thoughtful gift for the dog lovers (or any pet, really) in your life!

The possibilities are endless, and doggies in need will benefit - what could be better?

Attention Coupon Hounds!

In this economy we're all pinching pennies and using coupons.  Thanks to our good friend Keri Lyn, we're able to hook you up with a really terrific coupon mag AND generate a donation to ABTR at the same time.

Visit
http://www.shesaved.com/ to read all about it. The deal is
pretty outstanding when you consider it's for two years, and Amazon
sells a one year subscription for $15 only AFTER you enter a coupon
code. This is two years for $17.95! The coupons in a single issue
can save you that much, but when you think about that kind of savings x 24... Wow! (There's a link in KL's blog that will show you the
high-value coupons available in each issue.)

We are a small, dedicated group of Boston Terrier-loving volunteers based in North Texas who stay busy rescuing, training, transporting, vetting, coordinating and fundraising.  All for the love of our chosen breed, the Boston Terrier.

All Bostons that come into ABTR are fully vetted, heartworm checked, spayed/neutered and **temperament tested to ensure a good fit into a new home.  We never turn away a Boston in need.

ALL Bostons deserve a loving home.  We accept all Bostons, regardless of age or health.
(We will not accept dogs that exhibit human aggression.)

Please note that the adoption process begins with an adoption application.  Incomplete apps will not be considered.

We are not a shelter and do not have visiting hours.  All our Bostons are fostered in loving private homes.

All adoptions require an adoption fee.

Payment options include cash, money order, cashiers check or paypal.

ABTR is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization.  All fees and donations are applied to Boston Terriers in need.

ABTR Bostons Looking for Forever Homes

Hundreds of wonderful dogs have found forever homes through American Boston Terrier Rescue. We have set up two pages to feature and honor some of these dogs. The first page, New Beginnings and Happy Endings, highlights several of our happy adoptions. The second page was specifically created to highlight our Senior Adoptees and their gracious families.

***We do not use Sue Sternberg's Assess-A-Pet or any other extreme temperament tests on our dogs.

If we employed Assess-a-Pet methods to test Boston Terriers – a breed which is usually highly stressed in a shelter environment – many of them would have been killed.  They would not be deemed worth saving and certainly not placed with loving families.  That is where rescue comes into the equation.  We take them out of the stressful shelter environment, place them into a foster home and then see how they unwind.  After a few days of adjustment, we begin to see their true temperaments while they interact with a family and other pets.  Remember - to a lost or surrendered pet, even the best shelters are full of loud noises, odd smells, strangers and fear.  For those and many other reasons, so many of our dogs would have been killed for being too timid, too food aggressive from starvation, too fear aggressive, too hyperactive, etc. and they would not have become the beloved dogs they are today.  We absolutely do not employ, nor do we recommend this type of temperament testing.
